SPECIAL SERIES: What is Newsvine?

Welcome to a small experiment. This is the introductory article (if we can use that term very loosely) in a special report on a subject that is dear to us all: Newsvine. This report will take the form of a series of articles - each describing a vision for Newsvine and answering the question, "Ideally, what role do you see Newsvine playing in your daily news consumption?" The articles will be written by a wide variety of authors, maybe even you!

In order to read the series you can visit its very own page: www.newsvine.com/what-is-newsvine I suggest adding that page to your watchlist so you can be notified of new articles in the series. I've already added it to mine. When reading the series, remember that you can toggle the Sort method between Ranked (based on a combination of user votes and chronology) or Raw (based solely on chronology). Two ways to browse!
